The Cannon is an automatic assault rifle used by rifle men, and is available for permanent purchase with euros in the in-game shop by soldiers of any rank. It is an original as opposed to an upgraded model and/or custom variant; with reference and modifications to a real-life weapon.
Overview
The Cannon is a very popular standard weapon which is well-known for its trademark style of gameplay. To account for the large amount of skill required to use it; extremely high damage, range, fire rate and armor penetration are all present. Where the focus of this weapon has been heavily set on a large damage output, an expected deficiency in stability and prolonged accuracy is present, which can become more noticeable when faced against multiple targets or at long range.
While recoil at longer ranges can be problematic - the high range means that the Cannon will maintain damage output over a significant distance, making it easier to secure kills in fewer shots, and subsequently still makes it suited for demolition and other larger, more open maps. Unlike most rifle man weapons that are designed for longer range, engaging with targets at close-range does not give too much of a disadvantage due to the high fire rate and consequential damage output.
The Cannon has exceptional armor penetration. Even at up to 40 meters, the damage done with a single shot to the head can bring your target down to critical health. Shots landed on any other part of the body rip armor away at a fast and consistent rate. The largest problem is maintaining this weapon's usability in extended fire – fully automatic fire is not viable unless you are at point-blank range; tapping is the most effective method of securing kills, even at mid-range.
Despite having a remarkable damage output, the usability of the Cannon does not allow it to endure past other conventional weapons, meaning that you will find yourself shift-walking and crouching much more often than you would with other popular rifle man weapons such as the M4A1 and AK-47. This makes strafing less feasible and potentially makes you a bigger target. This can be offset by tapping fast and landing as many successive shots as possible in the shortest time.

Recommended Builds
Versatility Build
- Long Range Barrel
- Ergonomic Grip
- Recoil Control Stock
This set-up will award a minor increase to accuracy and stability without affecting the rate at which you can comfortably tap the weapon. The dramatic increase to range provided by the Long Range Barrel means that fewer shots are required to land to secure a kill – although the range of this weapon is already very high, this barrel ensures that its versatility is maintained over bigger distances. Head-shots have a very heavy focus, so ensuring you deal the highest possible damage per shot is important.
Alternative Build
- Long Range Barrel
- Precision Trigger
- Ergonomic Grip
- Recoil Control Stock
This build has a smaller crosshair due to the Precision Trigger and allows for a little bit more spraying.

Tips
• The large range of the Cannon means damage and armor penetration are maintained over most distances – head-shot damage doesn't drop significantly until past 40 meters, and armor penetration throughout the body is consistent, so concentrate on landing as many shots as possible.

• Both the accuracy and stability of the Cannon can become extremely temperamental, especially during prolonged fire, so you should only be looking to fire while standing still (or shift-walking) or crouching. If you need to escape a scenario, focus on running away instead of firing.

• Despite the Cannon having a scope modification available, it is not recommended due to the drop in fire rate and the lack of precision. To maximize accuracy, tap as often as possible in order to improve shot grouping. Zooming in can be beneficial when attempting to get head-shots.

Trivia
• The Cannon is an extremely popular assault rifle and was sought after for its outstanding damage output when tapped quickly. Prior to an update that reduced the rate at which you could tap effectively, this weapon was seen as the catalyst for advanced users to display competitive ability.

• As of the 29th January 2016, the Cannon and all its cosmetic variants share the same statistics and available modifications. Use of future versions can signify prestige or, for those struggling to maintain their euros, can serve to circumvent the large initial cost to purchase the weapon.

• The "Para" in "Cannon" is short for paratrooper, yet being a civilian rifle cannot mean that it was made to be used by actual paratroopers. The most likely reason for the suffix is because of the folding stock, which bares an uncanny resemblance to the folding stock of the FN FAL 50.61 Para.
