The G3 is a widely known battle rifle; its variants are used by multiple countries, such as Greece, Iran, Estonia, and, naturally, Germany. In AVA, it makes its appearance as a default weapon for the player.
Overview[]
The G3A3 is available only to the Rifleman class. The G3A3 is a default weapon given to the player and is permanent. As a result, it is generally not recommended to play with this weapon as it does not outperform any store-bought weapon, unless one is trying to save Euros. This weapon is known for its good accuracy, range, and penetration. Though these attributes can make it a decent weapon, it has some flaws that can hinder its effectiveness, such as the fact that its damage is mediocre for its hefty recoil. Its spread also expands quickly, is difficult to control, it possesses a low rate of fire, and is by no means a fast run-and-gun weapon. But if used by a skilled player, this weapon is capable of holding its own. It is highly recommended to crouch and tap repeatedly at the head, while taking into consideration its 25-round magazine. However the G3A3 has armor piercing capabilities, which makes it ideal for taking on enemy units(especially riflemen) who carry a lot of armor.
If you are a fan of the G3A3, you should consider trying the FN-FNC or G36, as they are similar in many ways. Also, since both guns are customizable, both can better cater to your playstyle than the G3A3 can.
As a weapon for beginners the G3 is surprisingly hard to use, and it is recommended that you buy a temporary M4A1 (for most players), AK-47 (for experienced players), M16A2 (for hardened players), or FAMAS (for aggressive players), or alternatively try the other two free permanent weapons (particularly the MP5A3) as they are more user friendly.

Recommended Builds[]
The G3A3 can be a top tier level weapon if it is modded with the upgrade kit; which makes the gun have a massive 55 damage (more damage than para or m1ebr). However, the recoil will be greatly increased, so firing control is required. This is not recommended for beginners.
The playstyle for this gun should be similar to the Sako: short bursts with crouching or walking are strongly reccommended. If used correctly the G3A3 can outperform any gun, including the Para. Bursting with the G3A3 makes it possible to quickly take down heavily armored enemies and gives it an edge over Para users, as they must tap and have a slower rate of fire.
Don't aim for enemies heads; with the G3A3 its unnecesary because the gun has great penetration and will tear through armor, also the recoil will kick upwards and give you a follow up headshot by aiming at the torso.
Variants[]
Notable Comparisons[]
In terms of damage (with the upgrade kit) it is comparable to most high caliber assault rifles, such as the M14EBR and the SA58 Para.
In terms of playstyle the G3 is similar to the Sako RK-95. Both guns must be fired in short 2-3 round bursts to be effective.
Trivia[]
- The G3A3, as with the MP5, is unrealistically portrayed as having a reciprocating charging handle (that is, a charging handle that reciprocates as the bolt reciprocates), which the weapon lacks in real life.
- Ingame the rear sight is completely solid, which would make aiming a problem.
